SSMS incepted in 2007 as a family business in Singapore as SS Lotus Services for rendering services to shipping industries and was mainly involved in technical management of ships and inspection and survey of ocean going and inland vessels.
After initial consolidation and trial run it was registered as SS Maritime Services Pte Ltd in 2009 to cover a wide range of services pertaining to marine and offshore industries.
